ATDynamics Leads the Way

Since 2006, founder and CEO Andrew Smith has been leading the efforts to invent and market effective aerodynamic add-ons to significantly increase your rig’s fuel mileage.  ATDynamics has recently introduced its TrailerTail Nano with shorter panels to reduce the risk of damage while backing or when in stop-and-go traffic.

The standard TrailerTail is proven to increases fuel efficiency 6.5% and new the TrailerTail Nano is expected to provide a 4% increase.  Both products are made with impact resistant thermoplastic panels which are flexible and very durable.

ATD’s other key product is its ATD-Transtex Skirts which have been tested to improve fuel efficiency 7.4%.  When combined with the Trailer Tail, ATD claims fuel efficiency can be improved up to 12%.

Two other products are the WheelShield, a smooth aluminum hubcap with 0.2 to 0.5% fuel savings and the Superspare for carrying your fuel-saving single-wide tires under your tractor or trailer.

ATDynamic’s products are a great investment with a short ROI.  Check them out for your 18 wheeler.

Freight Wing is Flying High

With recent large volume sales to Gordon Trucking Inc. (GTI) of Puyallup WA and Interstate Distributor Co. (IDC) of Tacoma WA, Freight Wing Inc. is really taking off.  Recent sales of 2,000 trailer skirts to GTI and 2,058 trailer skirts to IDC has been the big boost the company has been working towards.

Since 2003, co-founder and president Sean Graham has been steadfast in his efforts to improve the company’s products to meet the industry’s needs while reducing a truck’s fuel consumption.  Freight Wing is now selling its third generation of trailer skirts – the Aeroflex.  The skirts are made of a flexible and very durable TPO polymer to endure any rough treatment from railroad crossings, loading dock ramps or street curbs.  The fuel savings from the Aeroflex skirt has been tested to improve fuel efficiency 7% and is EPA SmartWay approved.

Freight Wing’s other key product is the Gap Fairing, which improves fuel efficiency 2%.  When combined with the Aeroflex skirt, Freight Wing claims the truck’s fuel efficiency can be improved up to 9.5%.

Hello Hard Working Truckers!

This website has been established to help you owner/operators and fleet managers increase the fuel mileage of your 18 wheelers in the wake of rising global oil and diesel prices.  We were caught with our pants down in 2008 with rapidly rising oil prices.  But, now there are belts-and-suspenders products out there to help keep our profits up.

We, at Truck+r Fuel Mileage, will do our best to bring fuel-saving information, people, products and companies together to help you.   We will do our best to help you save money on your fuel costs, thereby maintaining your profits.

This site is not about ivory tower ideas from college students or miracle products that turn water into diesel fuel.  This site is about bringing practical, easy-to-use existing fuel-saving products, technology and information together all under one roof for one-stop-shopping.

You will no longer have to search 100s of different websites for fuel-saving help. They will all be featured, reviewed and linked to our site (in time).  Truck+r Fuel Mileage is the only website dedicated exclusively to helping increase the fuel mileage of heavy duty trucks and lorries.
